BioEdge® Edgebanding is the only bio-based edgebanding on the market. It eliminates the use of oil and harmful chemicals that are used in PVC and ABS edgebanding, and is the only fully green edgebanding. It’s a complete bio-replacement for PVC and ABS edgebanding. BioEdge® Edgebanding is formulated from BioBest® proprietary resin. Biobest is a patented, proprietary plastic material made from corn or sugar cane processing into PLA resin. Bio-Plastic Solutions’ products using BioBest™ bio resin are produced with 88%+ of our bio-based resin blend, making it the leading “green” solution in the industry and number one choice with our partners. No specialized or additional equipment is needed to install BioEdge onto cabinets or furniture. We currently offer 1mm, 2mm and 3mm edgebanding in multiple widths that can be viewed on the data sheet. 0.5mm is not currently offered.

This biobased plastic alternative to PVC or ABS edgebanding is made from BioBest® Biopolymer. A tough and durable proprietary material with a low smoke index. This product contains no known hazardous chemicals and emits no known toxic VOC’s. Bio-Edge material may be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally safe manner. It provides an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional PVC edgebanding. BioEdge material is applied using standard edgebanding application equipment and adhesives so there is no extra work necessary or additional materials needed.
