Simple profile extrusion tooling can start at approximately $1,000, while more complex tooling, including multi-material, tight-tolerance, or specialized designs, may range from $5,000 to $20,000 or more.

For advanced applications such as foamed extrusion profiles, tooling and development costs can exceed $50,000 due to the specialized die design, process engineering, and calibration equipment required.
